Billabong welcomes every year a host of amazing international talent on the world class wave of Honolua to end the women’s world championship tour. The Surfrider Foundation has been named as the beneficiary for the Brian Wilson and eBay Giving Works charitable auction, which will begin this week and end on Friday, September 12th at 8pm.
The Brian Wilson and eBay Giving Works auction will feature spectacular and unique items that tie in with Wilson’s new album, ‘That Lucky Old Sun’, released today by Capitol/EMI. Bidders will have a chance to win a custom ‘That Luck Old Sun’ surfboard, designed under Wilson’s creative direction and shaped by legendary surfboard shaper Robert August, and Wilson’s handwritten lyrics to Forever She’ll Be My Surfer Girl. The Billabong Pro Mundaka is the 8th (out of 10) event on the ASP World Championship Tour. The event will be held at Europe’s best left-hand wave in the fishing village of Mundaka, renowned worldwide for its long and hollow wave barrelling over 200 meters in the river mouth of the Guernika river
I resently bought Dennis Wilsons soloalbum Pacific Ocean Blue, which have been unable to get since 1991. I love The Beach Boys and think Brian Wilson is a genius, and I’m very qurious about how his brother manages to step out of Brians shadow with this album.
